Do you deliver concrete on weekends?

Sorry, deliveries are from Monday to Friday.

How much does concrete weigh?

Concrete is measured in cubic meters (m), and one cubic meter is equivalent to approximately one ton.

How far will your shoot reach? How much is one load?

Each of our mixers have varying shoot lengths and drum sizes. If your site is not accessible,

we can offer you the rental of our Conveyer Mixer with a 40' reach, or one of our Pump Trucks. Further details, Click Here.

Do you sell cement?

No. A common misconception is that concrete and cement are the same thing. In fact, concrete is the product of a mixture of cement (a powder), aggregates, water, and other additives. Further details, Click Here.

Do you mix concrete on site?

No. although the company began as a mobile concrete supplier, we no longer offer that service.

Will you repair my foundation?

In most cases, McNamee Concrete Ltd. will not repair your foundation. Contact usfor more details.

Will I require an engineer or building permit for my job?

An engineer is usually required for larger projects, however each township has its own specific regulations. Similarly, building permit regulations vary between locations. Check with your local representative for more details.

Are yards and meters the same measurement?

No. A common misconception is that meters and yards are interchangeable methods of measurement. In fact, one meter is equal to 1.308 yards.

What is a power trowel, and how is it different from a broom finish?

A power trowel is an instrument used to finish concrete floors to give them that smooth finish. Our company offers this service. A broom finish is more common for outdoor projects. Broom finishes offer a rough finish; this allows for better grip, common for garages and walkways.

Can you pour concrete in the winter?

We are able to provide concrete for indoor projects during the winter. Outdoor pours vary, and are unique per job. Contact us to get more information on outdoor winter pours specific to your project.

What is slump?

The slump of concrete refers to the consistency and viscosity of concrete prior to curing. For example, concrete that is dry would have a low slump as compared to wet concrete which would yield a higher slump.

Do I need air entrainment or fibre mesh? What are they?

Both air entrainment and fibre mesh are additive products which can be mixed with concrete as required. Fibre mesh consists of small pieces of fibre glass which are mixed directly into the concrete while in the mixers drum. Fibre mesh provides the concrete with extra strength. Air Entrainment is mixed in the same way fibre is, however Air Entrainment provides the concrete with extra durability, most often used when the concrete will be exposed to changing temperatures. For more information on Air Entrainment, Click Here.

Do you have an underload charge?

Yes. For concrete orders under 3m there is a $150.00 underload charge added to your price in most cases.
